Panasonic Viera TC-P54S1

To fight against the strong competition, Panasonic has launched Panasonic Viera TC-P54S1 at an attractive price. Though this model is not designed to compete with the higher level plasma, it performs decently which brings it close to the top line products.

The picture quality is top line with vibrant colors and accurate output. Also, the picture from the Hi-def source is quite sharp as compared to HD LCD tvs. Panasonic has introduced the ‘Infinite Black’ technology in the recent models of its plasma TVs. By incorporating this technology, the blacks, as in details in the dark scenes, are great. The picture settings that come with Panasonic Viera TC-P54S1 are good as it is; however, after some self calibration the pictures can look superb and almost lifelike. Similarly, the built-in sound quality is good but if you connect a surround sound system this TV will rock. If you can go for HDMI input, it would be great and bring you the full benefit of this plasma TV. If you want to attach a gaming console to this TV then it would be advisable if you connect it through a component cable. Also, if you have one or can afford to buy a Blue-ray DVD player this set would be just amazing as it would be worth watching movies on such exciting combo.

Though it does not have some great features of the other Panasonic TVs such as THX mode, Viera cast and stronger picture settings, this is the best TV in this price range. If you can not afford the high-end, high priced TVs then this TV is just right for TV viewing. You will not be disappointed with Panasonic Viera TC-P54S1 at all.
